D. Mitchell - Born and raised in Louisiana and has been an artist since early childhood. The beauty, charm and mystique of the southern culture in which the Bayou state embodies has always been his inspiration. The wildlife of the cypress swamps to the gulf coast wetlands have always captured his heart and imagination. He's been a living part of the Plantation style areas of central and north Louisiana to the southern Acadian and French cultures from Lake Charles to New Orleans. He's somewhat of a gypsy at heart, but never roams far from within the borders of the bayou state from which his art and creativity thrives upon.
